If women are going to be paid 47.6% less, they will paint 47.6% less. Art Gap is an exhibition presented by Standard Chartered to raise awareness of equal pay for equal work through art. An in-depth study* found that “Works by women artists sell for 47.6% less than those by men.” In response, a collective of women artists decided to use their canvas to make a statement that hopefully inspires the world to act.
